NEW version of HGS (November 2022 - Revision 2469)

The HydroGeoSphere Revision 2469 (November 2022) is now available for download.

This month we’ve made some updates/improvements to several existing commands:

  • ‘choose elements xyz list’ now works with unstructured triangular element meshes (previously only applicable to structured rectangular meshes).

  • slice flux commands (e.g. ‘Slice flux output nodes from chosen’ and ‘Slice flux contributing nodes from chosen’) now report the positive and negative components of each flux, and report advective and dispersive mass fluxes for the olf domain.

We also included two new commands which should really help with model construction. These commands will make it much simpler to ensure that you are correctly selecting the desired nodes/elements:

  • ‘chosen nodes to tecplot’ causes grok.exe to write a Tecplot formatted output file specifically for the currently selected nodes.

  • ‘chosen elements to tecplot’ causes grok.exe to write a Tecplot formatted output file specifically for the currently selected elements.

We’ve also resolved all user reported bugs, and made several general improvements including improved error checking (i.e. related to the ‘impermeable matrix’ command and around some obsolete commands), updated to documentation (i.e. added ‘initial concentration from regional output’ to the Reference Manual) and updated binary output files to include some missing variables for specific domains/modes.

As always, we are committed to the continued improvement to the user experience. Do you have suggestions for new commands or improvements to the user experience? Send your ideas to support@aquanty.com!

The latest installers are available on the HGS download page and a full list of changes/updates can be found in the release notes.
