NEW version of HGS (January 2024 - Revision 2633)
The HydroGeoSphere Revision 2633 (January 2024) is now available for download.
We’re excited to announce a simple new usability improvement and one new command this month:
New commands ‘clear chosen elements by shp’ that that flags all elements that fall between a given layer range [bottom, top] and whose 2D centroid falls within a polygon defined by a shapefile as not chosen
Usability improvement: a batch.pfx file (which is meant to store the project name) will now be generated automatically based on the *.grok filename if there is an issue reading an existing batch.pfx file or if it's not found. Having a batch.pfx file allows HGS executables to automatically read the project name, meaning you won’t have to type it into the command prompt
As usual, we’ve resolved any user reported bugs and refactors several commands/features (including particle tracing) to improve model runtime and reduce memory usage.
One more important change is that we’ve deprecated the HSBATCH utility and removed it from the HGS installation package. If you rely on the HSBATCH utility and would like an alternative option please contact our support team and we will be happy to provide an equivalent PowerShell/batch/bash script.
You can find details about these new commands in the HydroGeoSphere Reference Manual. And as always, we are committed to the continued improvement to the user experience. Do you have suggestions for new commands or improvements to the user experience? Send your ideas to support@aquanty.com!
The latest installers are available on the HGS download page and a full list of changes/updates can be found in the release notes.
