Dr. Arghavan Tafvizi – Intermediate Hydrologic Modeller

Arghavan is an intermediate hydrologic modeller who joined Aquanty in 2023. She studied Boreal Ecology (hydrology and hydrologic modeling) at Laurentian University and graduated with M.Sc in Water Engineering (Irrigation and drainage) from the University of Tehran in 2016. During her M.Sc she investigate the ability of constructed wetlands on wastewater treatment. In 2023 she received a Ph.D., also from Laurentian University. Her Ph.D. research focus is on using stable water isotopes (SWI) and the isotope-enabled hydrologic model isoWATFLOOD to better understand the hydrologic functions and impacts of climate change on streamflow and groundwater contribution to streamflow across the mesoscale Sturgeon River-Lake Nipissing watershed in Northeastern Ontario.
